I offer a warm and compassionate space to help you ease distress and trauma responses, shift relationship patterns and make change in your life so that you can find more connection, meaning and joy. I have a welcoming, inclusive and anti-oppressive approach.
I am an integrative therapist who uses EMDR and a somatic, parts-informed and attachment-focused approach. I offer individual and group counselling online across BC and in-person in East Vancouver.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy helping people process traumatic memories by recalling distressing events while engaging in bilateral stimulation (like eye movements, tapping or sounds). This helps the brain reprocess the memory, reducing its emotional intensity and impact, effectively treating PTSD, anxiety and other issues by allowing memories to be stored adaptively rather than as overwhelming experiences. i
Somatically-oriented therapy helps you reconnect with your body and find relief from trauma responses like anxiety, distress, low-mood, inner criticism and shame and other forms of dysregulation. By working directly with nervous system responses and physical sensations, not just your thoughts, this approach supports deep, lasting healing.

Parts work therapy is a gentle, trauma-informed approach that understands the mind as made up of different parts—each with its own feelings, beliefs, and roles. Instead of seeing inner conflict as a problem, parts work views it as a sign that different parts are trying to help you survive, cope, or stay safe.
Looking for support as a parent/caregiver?
I provide support for parents and caregivers using:
SPACE stands for Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions and is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related problems. SPACE was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz and found to be efficacious in randomized controlled clinical trials.
EFFT stands for Emotionally-Focused Family therapy and is a therapeutic approach that helps families heal and connect by focusing on the underlying emotions driving conflict, aiming to build secure attachment, improve communication, and resolve relationship issues, especially effective for eating disorders, depression, and general family disconnection. It helps family members understand and respond to emotions, fostering trust, empathy, and stronger bonds through techniques like emotion coaching, validation, and exploring deeper attachment needs.
I offer online individual and group counselling across BC and in-person counselling in East Vancouver.
Anti-oppressive practices
I continue to learn and work towards anti-oppressive counselling practices. Anti-oppressive counselling includes:
- using an intersectional lens to recognize how systemic oppression and injustice impacts people’s mental health and well-being
- recognizing the power dynamic in the counsellor/client relationship
- working collaboratively with people, centering their lived experience and knowledge
- asking for consent about counselling modalities and practices I use
- critically reflecting on my assumptions and bias and how I occupy positions of power and privilege
- supporting and resourcing myself through counselling, embodied exercises and parts work
- engaging in social justice work and advocacy
